Can't fault the sound qualtiy on the backphones, I never had any trouble identifying signals with mine even after the left earpiece stopped working. I used to tuck them under a beanie as my ears weren't totally covered (I only have small ears!) and were getting cold this time of year. Had the WS3s for a couple of weeks now and wouldn't want to go back to the backphones, I found the signals to be slightly different but easy to get used to and again I have no problem picking up small hammered and small roman in really naily sites. It's great not to be attached to the machine by a wire. Going rate on e-bay seems to be around £80.
