i was at a mini rally a few weeks ago and there were a couple people i saw who hat at least a foot distance between there search head and the ground when they were searching

why would they be doing this? is it because of the detector they were using?

You can reduce the effects of mineralisation by sweeping the coil higher than normal off the ground and end up with more depth.

Garrett at one time made coil covers that spaced the coil up two inches.

One foot though ! They probably had machines with about eight or ten inches in ground depth then went home and said what a rubbish rally it was.

I love to see those "golf swingers" on the beach , they also use lots of discrimination ?
