Just a few pics of Whites evolution. Very early Eagles with 14 button pad! Then the big-box Eagle Spectrum. The rest you probably know...

You missed out the SL 90, Jimmy Seirra special and Silver Eagle and that doesn't look like the big box Spectrum in your photo but the 'slimline' version that followed it.
Then there was the software change from version 1 to version 2 and the E Series XLT.
There was also some movement of the hand grip which gave better balance on the slimline model and a change from bolt through to camlock at the top of the shaft.

Really successful machine for Whites in all its versions except for the 'Silver'.

Brian - could you please post a pic of the "big box", as I think I'm confused about exactly which one it was... it's a shame that Whites don't have a visual museum on their website.

Sorry I can't find a picture of the 'big box'. It was a little wider and as I mentioned most had the bolt through system at the top rather than the camlock.
Whites did go in for cross over from one model to the next so you might have the bolt in the first of the slimlines or the camlock on the last few of the big box. Can't remember which way it went.
Same with the XLT and XLT E series. Supposed to be no difference except for the decals and a price rise. In fact the display chip runs a little quicker BUT the last run of the original XLT was fitted with the faster chip so you could compare the two and find no difference.

No performance gain but you could click through the menu's a fraction quicker.
