I just rang up Minelab and they sent me a bracket/shoe plus rivets for free.
Can't argue with that for service ! |

You did that for me, thanks m8
Seriously though i think i'll just stick with the hip mount as i had an hour today with it chest mounted and its fine, better than on the belt, and no strain on the headphone cord either when you put it down, light as a feather.
Only thing is the coil cord, its just like a headphone cord(curly)rather than being strait, must have gotten memory being wound round the stem for so long(or do they come like that) might not work so good if i put a meter on though
Could you PM me the phone nÂș just in case
cheers |

Try an XP for a coil lead that has a mind of its own !
You could get your lead warm near a fire then pull gently. Or buy a spray can of 'Back to Black' from your nearest Halfords. Spray the whole length and polish off at once. Seems to soften most leads slightly.
Its clear, mainly silicon. You can do the coil and control box as well but for the control box spray on a cloth so it doesn't go in switches/speaker etc.
If you don't polish straight off sand dust will stick. Polish straight off it s just as though you have used a good polish and dirt and mud will come off far better.
To take the wear off the coil lead you could buy a short section of lead with male and female connectors and use that from the control box.
