| Coming back to the hobby after 20+ years away. Cut my teeth on C-Scope and Whites coinmaster range. Finding almost too much, and very conflicting, info available nowadays. Want a general purpose machine; mostly field but some beach; day job so can't spend hours each week getting to know machine. Dealers push you towards Minelabs (commission?) whereas forums are full of adverse comment. Spoke to some club members who suggested Explorer or XLT/DFX. Views welcomed... |

Exploders are good, but slow recovery and weighing in like a small truck means long detecting day´s are a no no, and tennis elbow and computer wrist are a certainty after prolonged (Ab)use.
XLT or M6 from Whites are good, or any of the XP range, some odf the Fishers like the 1236 (Land and beach machine), or the T2.
Lot´s of choices, depends what you´re happy with, and where you´ll be detecting really |
